SLO Restaurant Month and Go Local Wine Deals: Just the Ticket to Flavor-up January Doldrums

I love staying at home and eating the same old dinners and drinking cheap bottles of gift wine.
Said no one ever.

Is the post-holiday January hum-drum getting you down? Can’t wait for longer days and warmer weather? Here’s just the thing to get back to the sunny side: food, wine, specials, and celebrating our local Central Coast awesomeness.

SLO Restaurant Month

For several years now, during the month of January, restaurants participating in SLO Restaurant Month offer special deals.

This year, more than 50 restaurants from Arroyo Grande to Paso Robles beckon with tasty deals. Many offer prix-fixe menus — usually three courses for $30-$40 per person — or other limited-time enticements.

What a great opportunity to get out and try new places. With any luck, you may just discover a new flavorite. Check it out at:

Go Local Wine Deals

In its third year, Go Local Wine Deals invites locals to enjoy free or 2-for-1 wine tastings, special pricing on wines by the bottle or case, tours, and more wine-focused fun during January.

Wineries — a whole slew of them — in both south county and Paso Robles areas are involved, with the common goal of rewarding locals and encouraging exploration of our vibrant wine culture on the Central Coast.

But we warn you: better start today, because there are so many options.
